I do know that the company Flashpack sets up a WhatsApp group for all tour members to get to know each other before hand. They cater to solo travellers mainly in their 30s-40s though so it depends on you're age.
I’ve had a solo room on flashpack and it was super easy to do. No stigma at all by anyone on the tour for having your own room. Some of the activities I decided not to do and that was ok as well.
I’ve done 2 x Flash Pack tours (Sri Lanka and Philippines) and loved them so much that I’ve booked a third (Vietnam & Cambodia). I had my own room throughout and it was confirmed almost immediately.
Each tour is different but I definitely felt like I had enough downtime to recharge my social battery. I also bowed out of an activity on one day of each of the tours I’ve done and it was not an issue.

Stepping out of something is never a big deal, as the groups tend to be pretty relaxed and everyone leans into their own free time.
