My grandmother bought me the 12” pan and their griddle, and holy shit is that thing heavy. I don’t work out, but I am active (bike 2 miles to school, ski frequently, mountain biking, going on hikes) and I can’t hold the pan horizontal with one arm for more than 5 seconds. If there’s food in it, I need both hands. The handle design doesn’t work as well as I wish it did, the coils heat up much slower but the end of the handle heats up very fast. The octagonal design is neat, does make pouring easier. Like OP said, would I buy this for myself? Hell no, Lodge cast irons work the same, but it is a lovely gift, and I make some damn good meals in it
