Pros
- Repaste will solve it for sure. I didn't look at the max numbers.
- Mine did the same thin,g and after repaste my hotspot never goes above 76C.
Cons
- It is in the die indeed, the hottest point where a sensor can read it. That should be around 15C from the GPU temps, not 35C higher and passing 90C. A repaste is advisable as those hot spot temps can degrade the GPU.
- My 3080ti was hitting hotspot 102C in December and when I took it apart the thermal paste was dry and cracked. Its been running for like 4 years straight so it was time to repaste.
- While doing it i have seen that my hotspot temperature is really high, compared to the other temperatures on the gpu.
- Ye but the 10C difference is with the gpu idling, the maximum readouts show 35C difference and the hotspot hitting 105C.
- If it only does it during benchmarks then don't worry but check it occasionally to see if it worsens. If it starts hitting 110°c during gaming then you should consider a repaste and possibly replacement thermal pads.
