Dell G3223Q
Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
The Dell G3223Q is frequently recommended as a high-value 32-inch 4K 144Hz gaming monitor, particularly praised for its color accuracy and competitive pricing during sales. While it is a strong performer for high-refresh gaming on PC and PS5, users note it suffers from high input lag at 60Hz and lacks the deep contrast found in newer IPS Black or miniLED panels.
Pros
- Excellent color accuracy out of the box
- Strong value proposition, often found on sale between $440 and $500
- HDMI 2.1 support makes it a good fit for PS5
- Fast response times compared to standard IPS panels
- No miniLED blooming issues
Cons
- High input lag when operating at 60Hz
- Worse contrast ratios compared to IPS Black alternatives
- Reported as discontinued by some users, potentially limiting new stock availability
Caveats
- Regional availability issues mentioned, specifically in India
- Users seeking deep blacks may find the Fast IPS panel's contrast lacking
Best for
- High-refresh 4K gaming on PC and consoles
- Users looking for a large 32-inch productivity and gaming hybrid on a budget
- Color-sensitive work where out-of-the-box accuracy is preferred
Avoid if
- You primarily play at 60Hz where input lag becomes a significant factor
- High contrast and deep blacks are a top priority for your viewing experience
This summary uses balanced time weighting with about a 6-month half-life. The evidence is older, with a median source age of approximately 563 days, which is significant for hardware that may now be discontinued or superseded by newer models.

Dell G3223Q. Fantastic color accuracy out of the box, no miniLED blooming to worry about, and all the standard gaming features (32”, 4K, 144Hz). And it’s not expensive.
Dell G3223Q. Better response time than the U3225QE but worse contrast since it's Fast IPS rather than IPS black.

I ended up going with a refurbished (excellent) Dell G3223Q from Best Buy for $468 CAD. I've had it for about 3 months now and am very happy, no issues or complaints
Realistically, the options that remain are the Philips 32M2N6800M (€760) and the Dell G3223Q (€550).
