Pros

  • If you're trying to test new fragrances, I think you'll find it cheaper and more convenient to buy small, authentic samples from decant companies like Microperfumes, DecantX, Surrender to Chance, The Perfumed Court, Scent Split, and so on.
  • Decantx has a good amount of diptyque options, and currently on sale.
  • There are a couple of sites I’ve used to buy samples (decantx is one) that have the Thomas Kosmala No. 10.
  • Not on the list, but I've used them: Perfuum, Fragrances Line, DecantX.
  • My DecantX orders have been swift as hell. Ordered on a Saturday…Shipped that Monday, arrived on that Saturday

Cons

  • I just ordered from them. My only gripe is their emails saying "order ready to ship!" When you have something in the cart, then when you actually order it takes 1-2 weeks for them to ship. But I got what I ordered. They even switched to...
  • I’ve ordered twice from DecantX. I can get a package from overseas, have it clear customs and be at my doorstep faster than DecantX shipping. Not a fan.
  • First and last time ordering from Decantx... To respond to a customer this way, especially around the holidays, just felt so… condescending and dismissive.
  • The EDP and other formulations can be found on The Perfumed Court, Surrender to Chance, and DecantX.
  • But I recently ordered from decantx and had the same experience that you described. They certainly seem legit in their website claims everything is 100% authentic. But I don't think I'll be ordering from them again

I just ordered from them. My only gripe is their emails saying "order ready to ship!" When you have something in the cart, then when you actually order it takes 1-2 weeks for them to ship. But I got what I ordered. They even switched to FedEx 2nd day due to the delay. They packaged it up great so there were no leaks and today I've been enjoying the vibrato decant I received from them.

I have used DecantX often to sample new-to-me fragrances and always trusted them and prefer their pricing and atomizers to others like ScentSplit. However, I just bought a 5mL decant of one of my faves, Orpheon, and am unsure what to think because it smells quite different from the Diptyque bottle I also have on hand.
