Pros

  • Some solid options to look at: SSDs • Crucial P3 Plus
  • I got this Ryzen 5 5500 with rtx 3060 12gb vram card and 16gb ddr4 3200mhz and 1tb ssd of crucial p3+ for and monitor of 100hz ips panel in under 500 dollars,(the gpu is second hand but no scarth neither was used in mining) the max temp...
  • Both can be cooled with a peerless assassin and I'd want a cheap 2-4tb gen 4 ssd like a crucial P3+ or lexar .
  • Crucial (they are leaving the market any day now) P3 Plus, P510, T5000, but not the E100, that drive sucks hard.
  • The P3 Plus is quite fast as long as the SLC cache does not run out (this will never happen during normal operation) and as long as the flash is not yet worn out.

Cons

  • I have a NVMe SSD but it's a very low price one, a 1 Tb Crucial P3 I bought two years ago
  • SSD: 2TB Crucial P3 Plus
  • I'd take any day an old Samsung 970 Evo (TLC Gen3) vs a modern day crucial P3+ or Kingston NV2 (gen4, QLC) or similar drives. Once the SLC cache of QLC drives is gone, you'll see write speeds tank sub 200mb/s (often much less) while the...
  • I have a Crucial P3 Plus in my NVMe slot, and my boot drive is a KingSpec 1tb 2.5" SATA SSD, both of which were also bought recently
