Countryman B6

Pros

• Get like a countryman b6. Relatively inexpensive.
• B6s are great for hiding, sound good and you can get them wet and dry them out without ruining them. The downside is the jacket can be delicate get shredded with tons of use.
• Countryman B6 if I need something tiny.
• I’ve never used the B3, but I’m a big fan of B6s.
• Countryman b6 for the smallest possible

Cons

• I like the B6, too, but it can't handle higher SPL as well.
• I have a couple B6’s that I bought for a wet project, but I never bother using them anymore. Fun to hide, but my impression was that they have a lot of self-noise
• Countryman b6 lav mics are used in hair rigs or in buttons due to their really tiny size, they don't sound the best but they capture the dialogue for when those situations call for it and a boom isn't a viable choice.
• Swapped to a Countryman B6 a while back thinking it'd be tiny and water-resistant for sweaty actors but the pickup was spotty in noisy environments and it picked up too much clothing rustle without proper taping.
