Pros
- If the price difference is the only thing holding you back, get the Allpa.
- Which is why the Cotopaxi stood out for function and quality.
- If you want Cotopaxi's Allpa level of organization, you might not fit as much stuff in it because it's so compartmentalized.
- The updated Cotopaxi Allpa series has a water bottle pocket, and the 35L works great if you want a suitcase style bag.
- I'm planning to travel light (get bag around 35-40L ish - Cotopaxi Allpa is looking really tempting)
Cons
- that top and bottom reminds me more of the front of a Cotopaxi Allpa front, but less dense/thick.
- Parent context: That’s why I prefer the del dia version. I like the material better. Can’t stand that tpu rubber coating. Not only does it cost less, it’s also lighter Reply: The del dia's material choice won't save you from the Allpas's...

Not only does it cost less, it’s also lighter Reply: The del dia's material choice won't save you from the Allpas's largest flaw which is the lack of double sticking in high stress locations. I had a hole develop on my 35L right at the zipper because of that.
This is feedback on the Cotopaxi Allpa after 3 years of very moderate use (4 trips to Asia, 1 to the USA and a few trips in Europe). The front material started deteriorating fairly recently and wanted to put some pictures out there and warn non-US one baggers.
The front material started to peel or crack a few months ago for no particular reason as I did not travel *much* in the last year. Tried to reach out/make a claim and you guessed it: not eligible. Safe to say it is the very last time I want to have anything to do with this brand.
I'm considering the cotopaxi allpa because it opens up all the way around and has two separate compartments for clothing. My only problem with the Allpa is that i dislike the bright colors and can't justify spending that much money on a bag that I think is ugly.
