Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36
Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
The Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36 is a frequently cited memory kit in mid-to-high-end PC builds, valued for hitting the 6000MT/s performance sweet spot. While it is a popular choice for its brand recognition and availability, user experiences regarding stability are mixed. Some users report seamless performance with EXPO/XMP profiles, while others encounter cold boot freezes or BSODs that force them to run the memory at lower default speeds or seek alternative kits.
Pros
- 6000MT/s is considered a stable performance tier for many modern platforms, particularly AMD.
- Commonly available in 2x16GB configurations, which is preferred over single-stick setups to maintain dual-channel performance.
- Frequently available in retail bundles, making it a convenient choice for new builders.
Cons
- Reports of stability issues, including cold boot freezes and system crashes when XMP/EXPO is enabled.
- Some users find the pricing high compared to other brands offering similar or better performance specs.
- Occasional compatibility issues with specific motherboards can prevent the RAM from reaching its rated speed.
Caveats
- Rated speeds (6000MT/s) are an overclock and are not guaranteed to work on every CPU and motherboard combination.
- Mixing and matching different RAM kits, even of the same model, is discouraged as it often leads to instability.
- Users may need to update their BIOS to resolve stability issues at rated speeds.
Best for
- AMD-based builds where 6000MT/s is the recommended performance target.
- Builders looking for a widely supported and recognizable brand for their memory.
Avoid if
- You are building a high-end Intel Arrow Lake system where users suggest 7000MT/s+ for optimal performance.
- You are on a tight budget and can find better value-to-performance alternatives.
- You are unwilling to troubleshoot potential stability issues through BIOS settings.
This summary uses balanced time weighting with about a 6-month half-life. The evidence comes from a window with a median age of approximately 173 days, which is relatively recent for hardware but may not reflect the very latest BIOS stability improvements.

Then it's probably caused by the CPU. I would try another RAM.
Probably the RAM isn't compatible with the Mainboard. It's rare, but i can happen

So, what you mean is even if the manufacturer wrote 6000MT on the box, it isn't guaranteed to work at that speed and I have to take my own risk to get that speed? I am not trying to rant, I really didn't know it works that way.
When I try to boot my PC for the first time of the day (cold boot), it almost always freezes. Sometimes it gets stuck on the NZXT splash screen, sometimes it boots to Windows and then freezes, and occasionally I get a BSOD. I have to hard restart it 2 or 3 times before it finally becomes stable. If I disable XMP and run my RAM at the default 4800MT/s, the system boots perfectly every time.
$800 for 32gb of ram? Nah. Save your money, don't feed that corpo greed.
