  • I have the Corsair RM1000x (2024) and I'm quite happy with it. It has 4x 8-pin PCIe cables with integrated cable combs, which is more than enough for the 7900XT and even means that you can add other PCIe powered accessories if you need t...
  • Only thing that would lean me to one is that the SeaSonic has a 12 year warranty while the Corsair is 10.
  • I have a corsair RM850X with my 9950X+RTX 5070 Ti and I have not seen any problems for the past year.

Cons

  • The SeaSonic is splA- while the Corsair is splA+. They are the same wattage & efficiency and are both ATX 3.1 with 12VHPWR. Both are great power supplies made by two of the top PSU manufacturers, names trusted for good reason. Either uni...

  • If the fans don't even attempt to spin up, it's generally power. The switch or a blown breaker in the PSU, possibly a separate breaker for the GPU. Lights coming on MIGHT mean the PSU is OK, but, that leaves your mainboard and power switch.
  • At this point, I'm completely flummoxed. Either the RAM I received as replacement is faulty, or something (my motherboard, my PSU, or both) is frying the RAM near-immediately, *or* my CPU is in error, which I'm presuming could *also* ind...

I have the Corsair RM1000x (2024) and I'm quite happy with it. It has 4x 8-pin PCIe cables with integrated cable combs, which is more than enough for the 7900XT and even means that you can add other PCIe powered accessories if you need them without pig-tailing the cables. The cables themselves have individually braided wires, giving them good flexibility for easy cable management. The PSU is fairly quiet as well, and is Cybernetics Platinum rated for efficiency.

The SeaSonic is splA- while the Corsair is splA+. They are the same wattage & efficiency and are both ATX 3.1 with 12VHPWR. Both are great power supplies made by two of the top PSU manufacturers, names trusted for good reason. Either unit should serve you well for years. I'd lean SeaSonic, but only if it's not much more expensive. I might pay an extra $20, but more than that and I'd get the Corsair.

At this point, I'm completely flummoxed. Either the RAM I received as replacement is faulty, or something (my motherboard, my PSU, or both) is frying the RAM near-immediately, *or* my CPU is in error, which I'm presuming could *also* indicate some underlying problem with the motherboard or PSU.
