Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • You do not need anythingore than Haiku or Sonnet. Opus and fable are overkill for this task.
  • Then use Claude sonnet to review, ask scoping questions, and optimise it for use with Claude Opus, before getting to the actual work.
  • On the vLLM deserialization-RCE regression and the Parse Server operator-injection-account-takeover regression, Claude Sonnet and Gemini 2.5 Pro caught the bug on all 3 runs
  • I actually only have my multi-model built for client interaction, I only use Claude Sonnet (rn) for the audit. My rationale was I always wanted one voice speaking to the client in that area.
  • Use Claude Sonnet to build the first prototype.

Cons

  • Where I haven't seen much value is Claude vs Sonnet variants, or GPT-4o vs GPT-4o-mini. The training distributions are too similar for the disagreement to surface anything.

Used Claude Sonnet + ChatGPT aggressively for hard-mode drilling get the note from your weakness throw to them and ask them to drill you combatant mode

I gave all 5 prompts to claude sonnet (same model, same day, fresh conversations) and rated each output on specificity, actionability, and quality of strategic thinking. ... result: the best output. the extra contextual details that came out naturally through speaking made the strategy more specific.

Used Claude Sonnet + ChatGPT aggressively for hard-mode drilling get the note fromyour weakness throw to them: RBAC inheritance, VNet peering, storage redundancy, NSG order, backup scenarios, least-cost vs least-admin questions.

Sonnet would do it better, sure, but my current cost is around $0.10 per finished article for the full cycle, and replacing Haiku with Sonnet for that step would kill the economics pretty fast.
