Reddit take

AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

The DeepCool CH160 series, particularly the CH160+, is a popular choice for "lunchbox" style PC builds, praised for its excellent airflow and compact desk footprint. While the base CH160 is a dedicated ITX case, the CH160+ (or Plus) model is frequently cited as the superior version due to its sturdier build quality and support for mATX motherboards.

Pros

  • Excellent airflow and thermal performance for its size
  • Compact 'lunchbox' aesthetic with a small desk footprint
  • Portable design, with the Plus model featuring a handle
  • Compatible with standard ATX power supplies
  • Non-intrusive, dim LED power indicator

Cons

  • Potential cable interference between ATX PSU cables and longer GPUs
  • The PSU tray mount on the base CH160 feels less sturdy than the Plus model
  • Limited HDD support that may require using low-profile CPU coolers for clearance

Caveats

  • There is conflicting user sentiment regarding motherboard support; while the CH160+ fits mATX, it does not support full ATX motherboards despite occasional user confusion.
  • The CH160+ may have a slightly lower maximum air cooler height on paper compared to the base model, though users report little practical difference.

Best for

  • Small Form Factor (SFF) enthusiasts wanting high airflow
  • Portable 'lunchbox' builds for travel or carry-on luggage
  • Users transitioning from ITX to mATX who want to keep a small footprint

Avoid if

  • You are using a full-sized ATX motherboard
  • You have a very long GPU and a large ATX PSU that might cause cable management conflicts

I think it should be theoretically possible to fit a HDD using the top fan mounts of the CH160 together with the universal bracket, but it might mean having to use a single tower or low profile cooler to get the clearance needed.

Compatibility should be similar, but hoping the B4 has an option for a 120/140mm bottom front fan like the CH160+.

I think I might regret it because of the PC size since I recently switched from ATX to ch160 and I'm not going to change itx mobo to matx one it can look weird in 260

I preferred the CH160, but since my power supply is ATX and the size of the 5070ti (Windforce), I think the power supply cables would conflict with or interfere with the GPU.

I'm very, very interested to get the CH160+. Maybe when the ram price goes lower

I feel like CH160 or Z20 would be better for carry on luggage
