Canon PowerShot G7 X

Pros
- Consider a used Canon G5Xii or G7x model. Great for travel (fits in my pocket). Lots of options for control. Can shoot raw.
- The G7X isn't a bad camera ... For quick snaps the G7X will do you well.
- Canon G7X - due to size, video and photo capabilities, pic quality, (unfortunately price got over inflated thought)
- Like many, I've been influenced by the digital cameras, and want something similar to a Canon G7X, however, something more affordable.
- We've identified the Canon G7X as the one for producing the pictures she likes the most, but this is out of budget.
Cons
- I'm worried I only see cameras that are the latest trend such as fujifilm or canon g7x.
- Parent context: Consider a used Canon G5Xii or G7x model. Great for travel (fits in my pocket). Lots of options for control. Can shoot raw. Reply: Unfortunately these cameras are popular with influencers now so they are vastly overpriced...
- The G7X models have poor AF and a much smaller sensor size. The V1 will do much better in low light.
- One thing I've heard about the G7X lineup is that unfortunately due to the constant opening and closing mechanism of the fixed lens is that dust tends to get inside the lens barrel. Should said dust get onto your sensor then you'll be...
- Yes it's legit. You should forget about the g7x though.

One thing I've heard about the G7X lineup is that unfortunately due to the constant opening and closing mechanism of the fixed lens is that dust tends to get inside the lens barrel. Should said dust get onto your sensor then you'll be able to see spots of dust in your photos and videos which are not ideal at all. Given it's a fixed lens and not an interchangeable lens camera then you're in for a nasty repair bill with Canon which honestly isn't worth it for it to just eventually happen again.
