BSR

Pros
- A lot of people love vintage Wagner, Griswold, Lodge, and BSR stuff because they were milled smooth from the factory.
- That’s a nice BSR from the sixties or so! It’s easier than you might think to fully restore them and I’d really recommend that here
- the much heavier BSR is better for searing and blackening.
- I have one too. It is one with the dimensions on the back. I love it and I inherited from my mom. I’m almost 70 and it’s still going strong!!!
- Such a nice, smooth cooking surface on it
Cons
- Yeah that's a lot for a BSR but it isn't absurd. It'll outlive you so the cost/year will still approach <$1 as long as you treat it right.
- the no 10 BSR is 7 lbs and you better limber up and use proper body mechanics before you cook with it.

Now, I've never had a BSR before, and really know nothing about them except that they seem to be pretty highly regarded.

BSR is just awesome. They called their later pans "Century" because they expected they'd withstand a century of use. They weren't overestimating.
The BSR pans are some of my favs. They are quite smooth and I don’t dislike the handles. They are a little thicker than my Wagners and have all the characteristics of a thicker pan.
