Pros
- meh, i flew with them often and had great service.
- As the second flight was operated by an EU carrier (Austrian Airlines), my understanding is that EU Regulation 261/2004 should apply and that we may be entitled to compensation.
- I flew with them and it was fine.
Cons
- I'm on the larger and taller side and found Austrian airlines a bit sufficating, but the others were fine, BA both long and shorthaul.
- I've got the full value once, the flight was rescheduled. I would cancel this trip if they offer the full value, don't expect it.
- Good luck getting anything from Austrian Airlines. Worst airline I’ve dealt with.
- Submitted a compensation claim under EC261/2004 / UK261 regulations which they outright declined stating that “Podgorica was not in the EU” so the claim wasn’t valid.. However both Vienna and London Heathrow are in the EU, so after pushi...

Submitted a compensation claim under EC261/2004 / UK261 regulations which they outright declined stating that “Podgorica was not in the EU” so the claim wasn’t valid.. However both Vienna and London Heathrow are in the EU, so after pushing back and chasing again under the threat of escalating to the UK civil aviation authority and the appropriate alternative dispute resolution scheme for independent review, low and behold they have offered a €400 compensation payout.
Genuinely the worst airline I’ve ever flew with, or should I say didn’t fly with. I had a flight from Vienna to Copenhagen today at 15:05, at 13:30 (an hour before boarding) my flight was canceled. Then I was given the choice to be reimbursed or reschedule, naturally I chose to reschedule to the flight at 19:55, this was especially frustrating as their was an open flight at 17:35 (which was not full at the time) that the app didn’t display to me. A couple hours later my flight was cancelled again, despite the 17:35 flight not being cancelled. Instead of getting the choice to be reimbursed like the previous time, I was automatically rebooked to a flight on Sunday. The only problem with that is that my flight back to Vienna would be 8 hours after I land in Copenhagen. So now I won’t be reimbursed and wasted money on two days in a hostel. Big thanks to Austrian airlines and their poor customer service.
