Pros

  • To my ear, the Maxwell sounds much better. It has less slam with the bass-y sections, but it sounds much more detailed and open. Since with Amazon you can get the Astro and then eventually return it I'd go that way.
  • I’ve been using the asus kithara recently as well and while I think they have decently better imaging, really my biggest takeaway is how good the A50X is (with a decent EQ) for a wireless gaming headset.
  • If you want something that sounds great (relatively speaking) with a significantly better mic that works, get the a50x
  • I recently bought the A50 refurbished directly from Logitech for my PC. I have been very happy with them so far. I use a G502 mouse so already using G-hub. It was easy to set up and have been playing around with the eq settings for bette...

Cons

  • The Astro A50X looks to be the same form factor I liked with the A40, so I'm guessing it's going to be more comfortable. But how is the audio performance compared to the Audeze Maxwell 2? I was never unhappy with the audio from the A40,...

I was never unhappy with the audio from the A40, so if it's anywhere comparable I'm thinking I might prefer it over the Maxwell 2.

I recently bought the A50 refurbished directly from Logitech for my PC. I have been very happy with them so far. I use a G502 mouse so already using G-hub. It was easy to set up and have been playing around with the eq settings for better footstep accuracy. So far it a high improvement over the Roccat headset I was using be for.
