Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360
Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
The Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 is highly regarded as one of the most efficient 360mm AIO coolers on the market, frequently cited for its exceptional price-to-performance ratio. While it is a top recommendation for high-end cooling, user experiences are occasionally mixed regarding pump noise and specific compatibility with single CCD Ryzen processors.
Pros
- Excellent price-to-performance ratio, often outperforming more expensive competitors.
- High cooling efficiency for high-wattage CPUs, maintaining manageable temperatures under heavy loads.
- Thick radiator design provides superior thermal mass for heat dissipation.
- Available in multiple aesthetic variants, including A-RGB and non-RGB versions.
Cons
- Reports of audible pump noise described as humming, buzzing, or light rattling.
- Potential performance issues or mounting quirks specifically with single CCD Ryzen CPUs like the 9800X3D.
- Large physical footprint due to radiator thickness can cause fitment issues in some cases.
Caveats
- The radiator is thicker than standard AIOs; users must verify case clearance for both the radiator and fans.
- Performance on high-end chips can still reach 85°C during 100% stress tests, which some users find concerning despite being within spec.
- A-RGB lighting may appear dim or fail to produce full color if not connected to appropriate power/headers.
Best for
- Builders seeking top-tier thermal performance without the premium price tag of luxury brands.
- High-end dual CCD processors like the Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
- Cases with ample space for thick 360mm radiators.
Avoid if
- You are building in a compact or mid-sized case with tight top-mount clearances.
- You are extremely sensitive to mechanical pump noise or humming.
- You are using a single CCD Ryzen processor and want to avoid potential performance inconsistencies reported by some users.

I use the liquid cool 3 420. Idle at 26-28
Cinebench R23 runs score between 38k and 39k @253w, never seen higher than 75*. I am undervolted and AC/DC LL tuned as well, but even just undervolting drops temps a TON and doesn’t decrease performance

To try to fix the issue, I bought a new water cooler (Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro), but unfortunately the situation didn’t change.
