Pros

  • It’s real yoga and I love it. I’ve stuck with it longer and more frequently than any other instruction.
  • It also syncs flawlessly with Apple Fitness so all of your data can still be accessed via the OG apps in the ecosystem.
  • I use Fitness+. It’s $10/month and I use core, indoor cycling, rowing workouts. I like it.
  • When I became able to use my ankle again I started Apple Fitness + strength workouts, which I have come to LOVE.
  • I really like the 20-45 min I spend every morning with myself while I wait for my meds to kick in. Before I started these videos it was just doom scrolling instead

Cons

  • Yeah I had a 3 month tria for apple fitness and I cancelled it right away and it literally ended the service the same day with no way to regain it 💀
  • There’s MyFitnessPal, Pillow, Apple Fitness+, Water Reminder etc. All of them requiring pricey subscriptions.
  • i found it to be more fitness oriented than mental health oriented.
  • They would each have issues connecting to my AppleFitness+ account for workout tracking and it became too cumbersome to restart my phone and watch every time I wanted to track a workout
  • I wish they expanded Apple Fitness+ to more regions, I can’t even get it now if I wanted to pay more for it.

It works well so far! I feel my nervous system is more relaxed when I do just 30 min in the morning:)

Now a year or so later I started doing the yoga videos from apple fitness + every morning and I really benefit.
