The $100 isn't just for the warranty. It's also to get a monitor that hasn't been used and burned in for 2 years already. $100 is just a bit more than what I would expect the open box discount to be. For a 2 year old used OLED I would expect at least 50% off the new price.

I’m buying my first OLED monitor and I’ve found two good deals on the same model, one refurbished from ebay ($300) and one new from Best Buy ($400). The ebay one seems to generally be in good condition, so the main difference between the two is that the new one has a 3 year warranty that covers burn-in, and the used one has a 2 year warranty that seems to just cover malfunctions and the like (does not cover burn-in).
Considering that OLED screens have a finite lifespan I would want a new one.
