Pros
- I now have the AOC CU34G2XP and even that is faster and has less smearing
- I've read a ton of reviews in the past few weeks and I've come to the conclusion that the CU34G2XP is the best 34" VA you can get right now.

- after reading reviews the CU34G2XP seems like the best choice. I think it's the only ultrawide monitor that has Samsung VA panel?

Colours are also good, a little bit worse than IPS, but once I dialled it in (warm setting and a bit of digital vibrance in the nvidia control panel) I was happy with it.
Hey, I've had this monitor for a few weeks, and I honestly don't know what you mean when you say red lines? I don't see anything like that, whether gaming or web browsing. As for the panel, I love it. Didn't notice much difference at all in response times compared to my previous 144hz IPS, and there's no black smearing I notice, which I know is a problem on older VA monitors. Overall very pleased with it.

I've had the monitor for about 2 weeks now, and I continue to really like it. This is my first VA monitor after around 10 years of 144hx IPS, and I'm usually pretty sensitive to picture quality and motion for my displays, and I haven't noticed any black smearing in the slightest when gaming.
It doesn't seem to have much smearing. It does have enough to notice when smooth scrolling bright text on a dark background, but it's significantly reduced compared to other VAs.
You could consider a 34" ultrawide like AOC CU34G2XP, which has the same height as a 27" 1440p monitor.
As the new owner of an aoc cu34g2xp, an UW 180hz fast VA panel, I can say this checks out with what I’m seeing, which is no noticeable black smear and motion that seems absolutely fine.
