9800x3d is the cpu for gaming in 2025 but it’s not like 9700x is very bad either, for the price to performance ratio.
That said the difference between 9600x and 9700x is like 6% at 1080p, which is the most ideal scenario. 9700x is ~50% more expensive.

Dunno why so many people choose 7700x and 9700x. Unless you have mixed productivity loads, it's a waste for gaming. Not much faster in gaming than the 7600x/9600x and considerably more expensive.
I have a ryzen 7 9700x paired with a 5070ti and I do notice sometimes I'll get a stutter where my fps drops real low but only for a second. Could my cpu be a bottleneck???
