The 3700X will also bottleneck the 5070 Ti at 4K in CPU bound scenarios, worth keeping in mind.
3700x will be a good CPU, I personally would just use it until you feel like it's a bottleneck, for $50 it's a solid deal.

I built a second/living room PC out of used parts and my old 3700x CPU and 3060 Ti GPU. I finally got around to playing Fallen Order and it was able to handle 4k@60fps easy with medium settings, it can run other games really well at 1440p.
I use a Ryzen 7 3700X but it bottlenecks quite a bit in some games.

Just a couple days ago the CPU (3700x) started overheating seemingly out of nowhere… I went to look at it today and in BIOS the CPU temps quickly rise from ~35 to 80 degrees in a matter of minutes.
I have it with a Ryzen 7 3700x, and its been a solid pair but it's finally been showing its age with games like Marvel Rivals.
