Just run 16gb You can get a 5600 if you want to but the best for am4 is 5700/5800x3d
the 5700 is really a gimped 5700G with its internal gpu disabled. it has half the L3 cache and only supports pcie3 too. not a bad cpu overall, just a waste. them naming it a 5700 was pretty scummy.

I would suggest something like the 3060 from NVIDIA would be a nice default choice along with a ryzen 7 5700. Yea it’s a much older build but it can be good value if you find used parts.
if it’s a lot of retro titles then sure grab the CPU upgrade (and I think what you’ve picked up is a fine choice) but if you could wait a little longer and pick up the 5700 and pair it with a GPU something like an AMD 6000 series which can be had for 300 dollars and below
If you were to buy a cheap used GPU for the time being, say RX 580 8GB or GTX 1060 6GB, hell even a GTX 1050ti, you could get away with an AM4 CPU without integrated graphics, such as the Ryzen 5 5600, or Ryzen 7 5700. Those are both much better cpu's than the 5600g because of cache and ccx configurations.
