Good thing that upgrades to the AM4 platform are plentiful and cheap-ish. They could replace the 1600 with a 5600 (after a BIOS Update, for sure) and almost double the performance!

I have an old but functional Ryzen 5 1600, and I got an ASUS TUF A520M motherboard. Turns out that this CPU is not supported anymore (probably never was? I don't know). The PC works great, I play heavy games and all, but it just won't turn on normally.
