I'd see what your money gets you on the used market. A 6800XT/6900XT or RTX 3080/Ti have never been as cheap as they are now.

Looks like a 6800xt is roughly equivilant to a 3080 or 4070... 100fps in 1440 and 60fps in 4k on the old games chart. Newer games obviously dont run that good, but your probably looking at a 9060xt equivilent of 60fps in 1440 and 40fps in 4k ultra before you turn on the fsr tricks.
Used RX 6800XT or RTX 2080TI on eBay for 250-300 would be a great upgrade.
No easy way to get FSR4 to work, soooo try to avoid it. I know 6800XT perf is quite good still, but even playing at native res is often less polished than running dlss4.5 upscaling, for instance. It sucks, but it is what it is. I have a 6800XT phantom gaming D myself

Now, the 6800xt is a gpu, to its counterpart the 6700xt. Which of course even further confuses the issue.
So basically I need to build a new PC and I already got the video card for it (6800 XT).
