Pros

• These days I Alexa for timers.
• Im 100% positive a professional can get way nicer video/images out of an iPhone thatn an amateur can with an Alexa.
• I love telling Alexa to “Set thermostat to 73°f” or changing the settings after landing at the airport so the house is the perfect temp when we get home.
• Additionally, get a Alexa with call out features. If they wake up early they can go to kitchen and simply say call mom or dad putting them and you at peace of mind.
• Also Alexa let you, drop in. So if you have Alexa and she has Alexa you can say something like Alexa drop in to Mom. And then the next thing you say she'll hear it

Cons

• My 18month old just had Alexa only responding in fart noises. Anything I said it would fart.
• I turned it off, not because of concerns but because it seemed stupider than the old Alexa.
• If you happen to have Alexa and a Prime subscription, you may have recently gotten an update making the device AI-powered. ... my kids IMMEDIATELY started having conversations with it, talking about their autistic brother, talking about...
• I’ve also directed commercials where the DP shoots with an Alexa and 100K Cine lenses.
• And white noise, we just use an Alexa and found a nice sound on Spotify to play as Alexa’s white noise is trash lol.
