Alamo Rent A Car

Pros

• reputable brands are Enterprise, National, Alamo.
• I rented from Alamo at San Salvador. Didn't have any issues.

Cons

• Budget, Avis, Alamo. most recently from Buffalo, NY. and it's in the winter when they don't super clean the cars due to the freezing weather.
• I’ve seen a lot about Sixt and Alamo—do they operate the same way in the UK?
• Alamo's website states that rental with a debit card is possible with a hold placed on the card but does not specify how much this hold is or how it pertains to specific vehicle classes, especially as a young driver under 25.
• They are going to make fun of you when you walk away from the counter trying to use someone else's card and a note from daddy saying it's cool to use it.
