The Acer Nitro V16 is positioned as a value-oriented gaming laptop featuring the RTX 4060 and AMD Radeon 780M. While it is praised for its thermal management and fair pricing, users frequently highlight trade-offs such as power-limited GPU performance and significant concerns regarding motherboard reliability.
Pros
- Effective thermal management with reports of temperatures staying around 65°C during gaming
- Competitive pricing for a laptop equipped with an RTX 40-series GPU
- Strong integrated graphics performance from the AMD Radeon 780M
Cons
- Reports of motherboard reliability issues, including instances requiring multiple replacements
- The RTX 4060 in this model may be a lower-powered variant compared to competitors
- 8GB of VRAM is noted as a potential bottleneck for higher resolution gaming
Caveats
- GPU performance may be strategically capped to manage power and heat
- Linux users have reported difficulties with fan control and sensor detection
- Potential for CPU bottlenecking depending on the specific configuration
Best for
- Budget-conscious gamers looking for an entry-point into RTX 4060 features
- Users who prioritize lower operating temperatures over maximum raw power
Avoid if
- You require a high-TGP (Total Graphics Power) laptop for maximum frame rates
- You are concerned about hardware longevity and motherboard stability
- You intend to game primarily at 1440p or higher resolutions

You can put something half-reasonable in a laptop.. like a 4050 or 4060 mobile rtx, and strategically limit it to never really go towards the 100W-120W it actually needs, and have somewhat decent performance.
Motherboard is bothering
Ts a fair price op , but ofc the three times motherboard change can be a turn off for people but I'd def would keep this in my preference
GPU: RTX 4060
Too costly. Try in about 19-20k.
My 9530 OLED + Rtx 4060 has been having this weird issue that i can't fix It randomly glitches constantly and then switches to other apps, usually when i interact with a window
Lenovo LOQ (RTX 4060) – https://amzn.to/3KxpdSK Both give you real GPU performance and strong CPUs. Downsides: heavier and the battery won’t last as long.
If you can afford a P14s at all and care about GPU at all, you're far better off looking at any discounted 4060 or even 4050 laptop.
The 4060 is fine, but it’s not as strong in most of the titles you mentioned.
because it doesn't make sense to get an intel 13th gen or an rtx 4060 8GB
