Accelerated Dragon

Pros

• Accelerated dragon. No one plays the maroczy at this level and the rare ones who do don't understand it
• (hyper) accelerated dragon is always my recommendation
• If you don't end up liking it, I'd recommend the Accelerated Dragon.
• Accelerated dragon tends to be a more positional sicilian as well, probably about on the same level of soundness as the e6 sicilians.
• I switched to the Accelerated Dragon which has its own set of problems (Maroczy Bind), but seems much more viable.

Cons

• If you have trouble against the maroczy bind (or don't like playing against it), sorry to say, but the accelerated dragon is probably not for you. One of the downsides of that move order, is that it allows the maroczy bind.
• You don't, that's the reason why acc dragon is not a great option, and there's no reason not to play mainline dragon when that's also 0s
• The accelerated dragon gives me fits.
• the accelerated and hyperaccelerated dragons are both prob not the best in light of the maroczy bind; black finds it really hard to do anything active whereas white just sits back, makes slow improving moves, and grabs space whenever he’...
• Accelerated Dragon: more sound and more positional than the Dragon, although the main line opposite castle attack is still very sharp and dangerous. Also allows the Moroczy bind which is unpleasant.
