Pros

  • Top notch specs and 🙏 for sharing
  • I'm running a Quest 3 with a 6950xt. It's seems to be working pretty well.
  • Gpu went from 6700xt to 6950xt and cpu went from 5600x to 5900x. Now I can use this bad boy until it dies
  • the 6950 xt is a beast that might easily hit 7900xt performance with liquid cooling.
  • i ran a 6950xt watercooled for a long time and it was an awesome card, raster is around the 3090ti.

Cons

  • I would not be able to justify leaving the ray tracing performance and DLSS behind to go back to an older generation card. Even a 6950XT.
  • With my current spec I cannot hit 480 frames at 1080p (Valorant) and in some singleplayer games (Cyberpunk/Indiana Jones etc.) I have to lower settings quite a bit even with upscaling (FSR 3).
  • I rocked an AMD 6950XT for over two years and recently made the move to a 5070 Ti and while on paper, there isn’t a huge jump with the 5070 Ti over the 6950 XT, the real world jump was a game changer for me.
  • rn i have a rx 7600 but im gonna upgrade to a 6800xt or 7800xt or 6950 xt
  • I’m on an 12700K and AMD 6950XT which is rated lower than the 4070ti Super of OP’s spec.
