240Hz Monitor

Pros

• Alternative take: I would buy a 240hz (or faster) monitor with g-sync, so that you can *actually display* the 160-200fps that your games run at.
• 240Hz monitor is only $10 extra, might as well.
• I'd personally go for 240hz at 1080p, especially for a game like valorant where getting that performance is trivial.

Cons

• 240hz fees slightly smoother than 144hz but if you can find a better deal on a 144-165hz monitor I’d do that. Or prioritize OLED. The jump from 144hz to 240hz isn’t really that noticeable.
• I did 144Hz to 240Hz and the initial step up was noticeable but not huge. However, after getting used to 240Hz the step back down feels much bigger than the original step up.
• However I just recently went from 165hz - 240hz and the difference is minimally noticeable at least to me. If I was a pro fps gamer I’m sure it would have been super noticable but it’s just not to a guy like me.
