I got 16gb ddr5 for my pc, on windows it's not enough for my modded games, but on linux it run just fine, so maybe if you can dual boot it's more acceptable to get a 16gb ram

Personally, I'd prefer 16Gb DDR5 than 32 DDR4 as DDR5 will last longer in the long run.
