Zpacks Duplex

Pros

• My duplex has held up very well, even in thundershowers. When I know it’s going to rain, I drop my poles to 110cm so the fly gets as close to ground as possible. I’ve never had water in my tent. And I probably have 150 days in it.
• I’ve been in extreme rain and winds and hail in my duplex. ... No, I’ve never had rain come directly through the tent. It’s important to set up the tent very tautly when expecting rain.

• Yours is a case where a duplex actually makes a lot of sense as those are primarily dry environments so a single wall shelter should hold up nicely.

Cons
