Zigbee2mqtt

Pros
- That website is amazing, I discover products I never knew existed!
- The most allround zigbee hub is possibly Zigbee2MQTT, but this needs to be setup by yourself and you need a smart home server with can talk to or has an MQTT broker (like HomeAssistant)
- get Zigbee2MQTT up and running to fill in the odds and ends...the world is your oyster.
- Zigbee2MQTT is much more robust.
- You're good, but you should probably start with Zigbee2MQTT so you don't have to migrate everything later.
Cons
- It also saves you the hassle of managing multiple containers Zigbee2MQTT requires a different docker container and you need to let it communicate with the Home Assistant container. It's more work and more hassle.
- I use zigbee2mqtt and zwavejs2mqtt to get them talking on my mqtt server.
- Option 1 is to setup Ser2net on PC2 then install the Z-Wave JS UI and ZigBee2mqtt add-ons in home assistant.
- get a zigbee usb adapter, a homeassistant HA, Zigbee2MQTT and some ikea buttons.
- These are a bit finicky to get talking to zigbee2mqtt, but I've had a mostly good experience with the 4 in my master suite.
