YomiNinja

Pros

• The UI is very nice and you can choose from a variety of OCR backbones. When I hit a hotkey it automatically processes the whole screen and lets you copy text and look up words.
• I use one called YomiNinja, though I believe there are other software out there that do the same thing.
• I use Yomininja, it works well enough. Meikipop is also good, but lacks the customization you can get with Yomininja
• I'd also recommend using a tool like Yomininja, or Game Sentence Miner for easy lookups while playing.
• For visual novels, you'll want to use something like Yomininja, it is an OCR with yomitan built in. ... I prefer yomininja.

Cons

• Yep, a little bit cumbersome but I've had more success with it than yomininja. haven't tried yomininja's most recent builds being locked behind paywall
• Yomininja is an option try that if you want but GSM is better in every way in my opinion, but do try it.
• Is it possible to just install Yomininja (or the other one whose name I can’t remember) onto the chrome on the iPad?
• So I've been using Yomininja for immersing with games for a while and it was pretty good so far, but all of a sudden it's google ocr mode just stopped detecting any text
