Pros

  • I love YoLink. I used a garage door sensor to tell me when the garbage can has been emptied.
  • So for the sensors I would recommend Yolink. Personally fairly new to them but have been very happy so far. Cheap, long range, easy to setup/integrate with Alexa and with Smarthings
  • Fairly new to them but like what i have so far. Just using the basic hub that was bundled with them on amazon but one thing I like is I was able to easily add 2 more of these hubs for better coverage.
  • I have a ton of their products. I like them a lot because 1) it's very inexpensive 2) it works super long range and through metal crap that blocks a lot of other stuff 3) very decent app 4) integrates into Hopme Assistant 5) responsive s...
  • I use YoLink products, and I'm very happy with them.

Cons

  • I have tried the Moen Smart Leak and the YoLink but returned them because of connectivity issues.
  • If I had a choice of any other protocol or manufacturer, I’d do it. YoLink just feels janky. But it worked and I didn’t have to design custom devices this time. So it’s fine.
  • Several users recommended YoLink, but sadly, the distance and bushes proved too much to overcome.
  • Downsides? Sometimes my sensors just drop connection for no reason and I have not been able to figure out why. NEither has support.
  • Assuming you are ok with their Internet connected hub, their sensors work well and integrate well with Home Assistant.
