Pros

  • What eventually worked was to put him in the carrier and bounce on a yoga ball. That would get him to sleep AND stay asleep for longer than 15min. ... The ball is a blessing and a curse haha! if it works: bingo, now your baby sleeps.
  • Taking a yoga or lacrosse ball and rolling out the bottoms of your feet might help.
  • This is the only thing that worked for us. I had to figure it out on my own but it was life saving 😭😭
  • Now it takes me about 10-15 minutes of bouncing on yoga ball every evening after a feed in a dark room, first with baby upright and then in cradle once he has calmed down. Baby consistently falls asleep. This is such a life saver
  • Works like a charm every single time for our 8 week old LO. It's freaking magic, lol

Cons

  • I borrowed a friends and I’m glad I did because I ended up with SPD and can’t stand to sit on it, so I’d have wasted money buying my own.
  • Parent context: this hurts my back lol Reply: Honestly worth every ache when you're finally getting sleep again though.
  • I've been bouncing to sleep since we came home 6 weeks ago, RIP my back. 😅
  • Def a life saver in those early weeks, but I highly recommend weaning off it around 4 months before the sleep regression. It is a major back killer when the baby starts fighting naps, lol
  • I loved it, my partner hated it, I don’t think it actually made any difference in the end lol.

Someone suggested the big bouncy yoga ball, and hot damn, why didn’t we try this earlier? Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re having trouble.
