Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • Baby gear rental services. We are able to rent the snoo, a bassinet for the stroller, the fancy stupid swing etc etc thank GOD we don’t have to buy all this stuff and can try all the options without needing to keep it
  • We use the Snoo and baby really loves it (she didn’t at first, but now does).
  • The Snoo is usually a good investment.
  • investing in a Snoo might not be a bad idea
  • The snoo worked super super well for us but I have thoughts when it comes to recommending it:

Cons

  • A snoo is not a long term sleep space. It’s a “smart” bassinet that will rock the baby when they wake up & other features. But it’s a bassinet which means you can’t use it once the baby starts rolling, they need to be moved to a crib
  • In my case, my child absolutely hated it. Luckily, I had bought it used on Facebook marketplace and sold it for exactly what I paid.
  • I thought about buying the expensive Snoo for my second baby, but he slept 4 hour stretches almost immediately & it would have been wasted on him.
  • We didn’t start using sleep sacks until around 4 months when she transitioned out of Snoo.
  • If you’re not comfortable hanging back while your baby cries a little, I’d say it’s a waste of time and money.
