Wisycom is considered a premier industry standard in professional location sound, frequently cited as the leader in analog wireless technology. It is highly regarded for its exceptional range, battery life, and unique ability to maintain compatibility with other analog transmitter brands. While it competes at the highest level of reliability alongside brands like Lectrosonics and Shure, it is frequently criticized for poor manufacturer support and inadequate documentation.
Pros
- Exceptional wireless range and signal reliability
- Excellent battery life on transmitters
- High compatibility with other analog brands (e.g., Sennheiser G3/G4)
- Strong price-per-channel value compared to some high-end competitors
- Minimal intermodulation issues during frequency coordination
Cons
- Notoriously poor customer support and difficulty contacting the manufacturer
- User manuals are often described as useless or inadequate
- Steep learning curve for new users
Caveats
- Remains primarily an analog-focused system in a market increasingly moving toward digital
- Professional clients and production teams generally do not distinguish between Wisycom and other high-end brands like Lectrosonics
Best for
- Professional location sound mixers
- Large-scale productions such as reality television
- Users who need to integrate various brands of analog transmitters into one ecosystem
Avoid if
- You require a digital-only wireless workflow
- You rely heavily on manufacturer support and clear technical documentation

I only record on the bodypacks in rare instances where I physically can't be there or range would be an issue, and wisy has exceptional range
Wisycom is by far my favorite, all their wireless is the top of the line currently.
The advances in RFoF tech from companies like Wisycom are also fantastic.
If this is a serious job, show up with serious tools. Bring Wisycom, Sound Devices, or Zaxcom wireless.

I would invest in wisycom trasmitters and receivers. They are super solid.
I haven't had any issues with Wisycon (I rent Wisycom when needed, own Lectrosonics) and all I have is praise for the brand
the king seems to be wysicom who put 4 diversity receivers in a small unit (8 receivers).
Wisycom, formerly also known as Pastega, has been the absolute top quality choice for radio in broadcast and pro environments in the European continent for probably about 50 years. You can't find older wisycom stuff in used marketplaces in Europe because nobody sells them, that's how well they keep working.
