WiiM Amp

Pros

• My WiiM Amp will actually wake and play if I select it in the AirPlay control panel on my phone or MacBook Air.
• Yeah, I haven't tested it but you could look into the Wiim Amp.
• I got a WiiM Amp from Amazon... Unwrapped, connected...it played! And it even wakes up if I select it from my iPhone! OMG it is so nice when stuff just WORKS
• This is easy. Even the cheap and popular Wiim amp has a line input you could hook a turntable to.
• the lowly Wiim Amp just walks all over it. After a few hours I put the wiim amp back in and plan to go modern class D route instead of a bigger vintage amp.

Cons

• Oooh the Wiim, I've been looking at the Wiim Amp for my turntable as my amp needs replacing on that too after I get a new stylus.
• I've seen recs for the WiiM Pro/Amp although not sure if software support is as good for guests etc.
• Elacs love power, like class ab 100 watts or more. The Wiim just doesn’t have the guts.
• The problem is, the ELAC/WiiM combo sounds noticeably worse than the Edifiers. ... I found that if I stream music using a usb-C to 3.5mm (to Line in) from my iPad, the sound gets instantly warmer, more textured, and better than the WiiM'...
• My setup was a WiiM AMP with 2 Pro-Ject speaker box 5 speakers.
