White Cloud Mountain Minnow

Pros

• I always enjoy white cloud mountain minnows. They have a little color and are pretty friendly.
• If you’re interested, look into medakas/Japanese rice fish or white cloud mountain minnows instead. Both are coldwater fish that even thrive *without a heater*.
• Make life easier and go with an unheated tank with white cloud minnows. You can still have snails and shrimps, although the wcmm can eat babies (but most fish can). They're hardy, active, and come in either a nice natural red or a bright...
• I have a small group of White Cloud Mountain Minnows I want to move to my new 40 gallon dirted tank
• I have 6 in my 29 gallon patio pond and they are extremely active especially in the morning and feeding times

Cons

• Something like those white cloud mountain minnows or rosy red minnows?
• It's not a good idea for a small cube tank because they are active and quick swimmers. I have some in a 29G, and they use the whole thing.
• I wouldn’t put white clouds in anything smaller then a 15 personally, mine are super active, they swim all over my 20L, onlytime I had them in a small area was for breeding.
• I have a 37 litres (was going to upgrade but they died) definitely felt it was too small for them. They like a lot of hiding spaces and they’re shoaling/schooling fish
• my only note to this would honestly be to cross the white cloud minnows from this list of options - i didn’t truly understand why they wouldn’t be suited for smaller tanks since they’re smaller fish until i got some of my own in a 30 gal...
