Pros

  • I have a little walking pad I moved to the living room and I started walking 4 days post birth. Taking it easy to doing 20-30 mins a day.
  • I bought a walking pad over the summer and now I walk on average 7-10k steps within an hour/day.
  • I really enjoy getting some work done on the walking pad.
  • Get an ultra wide sit stand frame and put it under your desktop and then get a $130 walking pad so you can game and walk. I get upwards of 10k steps after work some nights while I’m gaming, my brain doesn’t even realize I’m walking 2.5 -...
  • If I am doing something where I need the screens, and for whatever reason I wanna sit down, it is very easy to tuck the walking pad under the table and bring the chair back.

Cons

  • Is there small thing I can do that actually helps? walking pad? standing desk?
  • Parent context: Mind informing me what that walking pad is? Been looking for one for my apartment for a while and not sure what to pick. Reply: I believe my gf got it off amazon and was around $100. Not great quality. We’ll most likely b...

Parent context: What kind of walking pad? I've been considering one since i don't have room for a treadmill and want something that can go under the couch. Is the length of the walking area big/long enough for longer strides? I'm 6'4"and worry that it's not long enough. Any insight? Reply: it's just a cheap one I got online, but it's about 3 years old now, and I use it every day. As far as stride length, not sure, I'm 5'3", but mine is 48" long when unfolded.

I love the walking pad because I just put my favorite shows on in the afternoon and walk.

Paid $130 for the squat stand+spotter arms, $88 for the bench, $175 for the barbell and plates (Black Friday) and $200 for the walking pad, $30 for the curl bar, $20 for the yoga mat, $40 for the plate tree, and $5 each for the little rubber mats at Walmart. I almost spent many times this amount to buy higher end equipment, but everything here is working great for now.
