Pros

  • Even the steering wheel with physical buttons (instead of the touchpads), completely on its own, is worth holding off for.
  • I test drove both (and the Q4) and chose the ID.4. I found the driving position of the Enyaq just wasn’t comfortable for me.
  • He’s absolutely the reason I got an ID.4 instead.
  • Which means quality EVs like the Equinox, Mustang Mach E, ID.4, Ioniq 5, EV6, Polestar 2, will be significantly cheaper options in Canada, to name a few.

Cons

  • Based on personal vibes, id.3 and id.4 were a lukewarm release at best (speaking as a first edition owner from the beginning)
  • I just found the fit and finish on the ID.4 very...basic.
  • But I don't have any frame or reference for weight distribution in an EV and how that changes something like a RWD Mach-E or ID.4 in the snow.
  • I've owned 3 VWs. An ID.4 was a top contender for our next car. Not anymore.
  • I'm aware of the ID.4, but I don't think they have too many EV models available in the USA

Are they the same light assemblies as the ID.4? My guess would be it’s a cost saving measure on parts.
