Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund

I’ve been investing 15% into VTSAX/VTI + 2% employer match.

Invest that money in a Total Market Index Fund (like VTSAX or FZROX). Easy.

VTSAX and chill.

For now, a total stock market fund, or an S&P500 fund. VTSAX, VFIAX at Vanguard, the comparables at Fidelity, or VTI or VOO either place, for the EFT version.

I would suggest buying S&P ETF funds such as VTI, VOO or VTSAX moving forward and let compounding work its magic over time.

Just buy VTSAX or whatever total stock market fund is available in your account of choice.

Admiral funds VTSAX and VOO will be easy set it and forget it investments but make sure to do your own research for what is right for your mom.

In comparison, over the last 5 years VTSAX (100% stocks) is up 78%. So your VGSTX has underperformed VTSAX by 39x.

Now, you can't live in a pile of VTSAX shares, and they aren't leveraged, but they don't cost very much to own, unlike a house.

I came here to say VTSAX , but I’m just happy to see someone with the same mindset.
