Pros

  • I ended up using an Uppababy Cruz for all three of my kids, it reclined fully so we just bought a newborn head insert and didn't need the bassinet and it was just fine when they were toddlers
  • We opted to just get a single stroller with our first kid (we got the Uppababy Cruz) and decided that if we ended up having subsequent kids closer in age and still needed a double, we'd evaluate when the time came. In the end I'm glad we...
  • My friends got the Uppababy Cruz and they're happy with how portable it is. I think it's still a bit heavy (I wouldn't lug it around on an international trip), but it's definitely more portable than the Vista.
  • We bought an Uppababy Cruz and love it.
  • Hi! I have the same set up, but with the Cruz. I got the infant snug seat new and got the bassinet off of FB marketplace place for 80... To me having both would be worth it

Cons

  • We have the Cruz and even that is a little big sitting in the foyer outside of our front door.
  • I’ve heard the UPPABaby Cruz V3 is super sturdy, but it’s also heavy and $$.
  • As of now, I’m between the Nuna Mixx and the Uppababy Cruz (I have yet to see this in person).
  • My sister has an Uppababy Cruz and it’s nowhere near as smooth and easy to maneuver as the mixx next.
  • i have the cruz and its just a lot of stroller lol

We opted to just get a single stroller with our first kid (we got the Uppababy Cruz) and decided that if we ended up having subsequent kids closer in age and still needed a double, we'd evaluate when the time came. In the end I'm glad we did because we're also city dwellers, and having a slightly more lightweight and less bulky stroller was nicer to deal with on a regular basis especially because we used our stroller so much.

Ultimately, we went with the uppababy cruz due to the cost (we got it for $559 on sale), the ease of folding up, the smaller footprint, and the good customer service.

I really like our uppababy cruz! I live in a city without a car so we get a lot of mileage on it. It is heavy, but from what I've read, the lighter strollers won't be as steady on sidewalks, so there's just always a tradeoff there.

I think that’s the one we’re going to buy too! It’s a bit of a splurge that family is paying for, and the stroller was so nice to push around in real life.
