Uniqlo Heattech

I would recommend a set of thermals/long underwear in silk or like Uniqlo 's heattech.

Hands and feet were freezing but the black magic known as Uniqlo heattech kept my body warm.

Also I see Uniqlo heattech recommended a lot but I’ve never bought it, but that could also work.

I almost never wear my wool sweaters directly as a first layer though, and always have a thermal layer (like Uniqlo's Heattech) in between. Reduces the scratchiness and adds an additional layer of warmth.

Yup the heattech line is my beater base layer.

uniqlo's heattech line isn't merino but honestly works super well and is way more budget friendly than most wool options i've tried.

I also bought 2 tops and 2 heattech from Uniqlo and used 1 heattech and 1 top as a part of my outfit rotation.
