Tuya

Pros
- Slight preference for Tuya because thats what most of my system is
- I’ve been doing some Google work and I think the Meross or tuya devices will work. Supposedly they will send a signal to trigger the unlock
- a security system based mostly on Tuya local components
- Something like this works fine with Tuya using zigbee wireless protocols, and shows up easily in the tuya smartlife app.
- I consolidated the few Tuya devices I have to one app (mostly appliance with no other connection option) recently, and after removing them from SmartLife, the Tuya app automatically scanned and found them. They did still have to be setup...
Cons
- I personally found Tuya and Sengled to be basically ewaste.
- I was thinking home assistant green, tuya and all those other controllers, but it seems like most prefer to go with a pc setup
- As for zigbee devices, try to *avoid* anything Tuya, Smart Life, and Aqara, since a bunch of those devices have tweaks made to them to lock their devices to their own brand hub.
- Is it Tuya controlled by any chance? If so, you could try the Tuya integration in HA and see what it exposes for that device.
- Honestly I have loads of tuya stuff on my zigbee network, no issues.

Find out if it's rebadged Tuya, if so.... run far away from these.
