As a Tudor fan I go with the Longines on this one. I am not a huge fan of the ranger in general. I think this Longines beats it personally because of how much cleaner it is to me whereas I would describe the Ranger exactly how you did- a little 'quirky' which personally isn't my thing when it comes to watches.
