Pros

• Truecaller and Hiya are great free apps for identifying unknown calls and blocking spam.

Cons

• Nowadays it needs mobile number login plus a dozen permissions and even more ads.
• A warning, apps like SyncMe and Truecaller harvest your contacts and upload them, using your names for them to add to their database. It can be manipulated, and are very often very wrong.
• I uninstalled Truecaller the moment I realised I'm getting more spam calls after installing it.
• Turns out Truecaller was the adware which was completely unexpected since i had the app for a year now. It was redirecting me to the playstore every few minutes after redirecting me to this internet page
