Pros

  • It took me 6 weeks before I saw anything and that was tretinoin .05% every other night. It took a few months after that before I saw real progress.
  • I was also prescribed tretinoin .05% (also prescribed for 2 years now) for the evening, which I use a pea size amount and then use the Corsx snail mucin moisturizer.
  • Tret (0.05%) - been using it for the last 4 months with no issues
  • Evening: * every other night: tretinoin .05 %
  • I personally found using azelaic acid gel 15% in the morning & tretinoin .05% 6 nights a week along with a strong skin barrier supporting routine to be the most effective for melasma on my forehead & dark spots on my cheeks.

Cons

  • PM-CeraVé Foaming Cream Cleanser, Skin Medica TNS Advanced, then I alternate nights of Tretinoin .05 or Timeless 20% C serum, Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream or Tatcha Indigo Overnight Cream, Allies of Skin Omegas Eye Cream.
  • Same at night - sunscreen but including tret 0.05% I've been on and off tret for the past month... it's kinda been making my skin progress backwards. I think I will stop.
  • This is not normal, especially with it being itchy, and I would discontinue use and message or call your dermatologist. This isn’t acne, I almost think it could be something fungal because of the itchiness but I have no idea. It could be...
  • alternate each night with tretinoin (.05%) and paula’s choice 2% bha
  • Tret 0,05% (every other night)

This is not normal, especially with it being itchy, and I would discontinue use and message or call your dermatologist. This isn’t acne, I almost think it could be something fungal because of the itchiness but I have no idea. It could be eczema? No matter what you or the internet thinks it is, definitely stop using tret for now and contact your dermatologist.
